Looking whether re-search resaults are some kind of "open" or more like patent of companies... i found this paragraph:
"World Community Grid is making technology available only to public and not-for-profit organizations to use in humanitarian research that might otherwise not be completed due to the high cost of the computer infrastructure required in the absence of a public grid. As part of our commitment to advancing human welfare, all results will be in the public domain and made public to the global research community." right here on the 3rd comment. Then, googled that and located in here FightAIDS@Home but never saw this, or something like that in worldcommunitygrid.org. Is it outofdated, Is that still the case, "public and non-profit" Plz help us out, we are a group from Greece ready to set a campain in order to register volunteers :} P.S. Not sure if that's the correct section to post this thread. Let me know, if transfer/re-write is necessary. |

Hi,
The closest statement found on quick peruse is on the project proposal page, bullet point list. Scientists have to agree up front to the public availability.http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/research/viewSubmitAProposal.do Also of interest will be this page explaining technical and security aspects: https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/wb/viewInfoAll.do#achieve Let us know if you need more convincing. ![]() |
