Hi,
----------------------------------------I've just installed BOINC + VirtualBox on a computer and chose GridRepublic instead of BAM!. Before that, I checked that I didn't have any account there with past email adresses. Since it wasn't the case, I registered with my current adress and it connected with several projets including World Community Grid. But I only realized then that I still had my past adress on World Community Grid so a new profile was created and I would like now to delete it particulary since I now can't update my email adress in the profile I've used since 2004 (error message: "Email address has already been used."). Are you saying that the GPUGrid interface can create accounts at WCG on the fly? It would be a first if it could.
----------------------------------------No, once created and account is permanent. The admin can hide it though. For that, mail support@worldcommunitygrid.org or use the "Contact Us " page to explain with detail which account it is you wish to dispose of. Thank you for your quick reply.
It's surprising but that's what happened and I can easily login in the new profile. Taking into account what you wrote me, I put an other adress in the new profile and my current one in the 2004 account. I used the "Contact Us" page and asked the support to at least hide my new account. |
