Re: Website development suggestions...

Presently the Diamond badge maxes out at 100, but I have 192.5 years already on the FA@H project and will soon hit 200. Could WCG please add the Diamond 200 badge, hopefully at least a few minutes before I actually hit the 200 year mark?
We have added this to 'the list'!

Thanks,
ErikaT

Although FA@H was interrupted there for a while, it's crunching along nicely now and I am up to 196.1 years. However, on the Badges information page, I don't see any indication that the Diamond 200 badge has been added. confused Any progress?

Here's the Badge Information page (with no mention of the Diamond 200 badge):

Re: Website development suggestions...

In another thread Mr Kermit and moi, or moi and MrKermit discussed the steps through 1000. Think the conclusion was 250, 500, 1000. We have other [to me silly] steps such as from 10 to 20 to 50. Why was that not 25, is way above my head logic, maybe because 20 was more appealing to hunt for than 25, with 50 statistically so far out, that it was a counting fingers on one hand exceeding those expected to get there. Since I've concluded that it's madness to raise badges further in levels.

Re: Website development suggestions...

Simply said, badges make people contribute more to the projects. In my opinion it's a no brainer that a few more should/could be made. The only difficult part is figuring out which #s to make and which to skip.

At this point in time I am hoping to get a few 20 year badges but am doubtful I will go beyond that for a very long time; aka the larger numbers won't affect me but it will affect a few others and that makes it worth it.

Re: Website development suggestions...

There should always be a "next badge" to reach for. At present I have no "next badge", since Diamond 100 is the largest (and I passed that point more than 96 crunching years ago!) And certainly there must be others (user deltavee is an example) who have also passed the Diamond 100 point and now have no "next badge" to reach for. Also, ErikaT promised to do it, and it's been six months now.

Surely it can't be that hard to add Diamond 200 (and Diamond 500, while you're at it), and then update the text of the Badge Information page accordingly. It probably requires either adding two entries to a data table or adding less than ten lines of code. And it would restore the integrity of the Badge system.

I was looking at teams yesterday and I couldn't figure out which are active. Joining a team and being the only active member is no fun. So I'm solo for now. The date of last points increase should be included.

Yes, adding higher level badges is on our backlog. But, it is not a high priority task currently.

Re: Website development suggestions...

2 years in the backlog now and still no progress... Are post-100 badges now significantly closer to actually being done, or does "backlog" just equal "graveyard"?
