Ebola Erupts Again in Africa, Only Now There's a Vaccine

For the ninth time, the virus has hit the Democratic Republic of Congo. Officials may deplore a vaccine created too late to stop the epidemic in West Africa in 2014.

Re: Interesting News Articles About Ebola

An ebola outbreak has been declared in the north-west of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Elsewhere it says that WHO has 4,000 doses of experimental vaccine ready to be used
when the Congolese authorities give their permission,
the fear being that ebola might spread to the province capital of Mbandaka,
home to one million people.

EDIT: repeted 'vaccine' removed.

Re: Interesting News Articles About Ebola

Science has an update on the outbreak of Ebola in the Democratic Republic Congo
where experimental vaccine will be used, and where the response seems to match the severity of the illness
- a lesson learned from the West African outbreak in 2015 where an estimated 11,310 people died
before Ebola was contained with traditional means.

Re: Interesting News Articles About Ebola

Sadly, one case of Ebola has now been established in Mbandaka DRC.
- hopefully the experimental vaccine will help and hopefully there will be enough of it
