Re: XtremeSystems Campsite

What is the deal with XS's uptime?
It is by far the most unreliable site i visit on a regular basis.

I know FUGGER hosts and admins the site from his house, but the downtime is quite frequent.

Re: XtremeSystems Campsite

Hello OC,

Looks like Fugger's servers have a "There is a Challenge or Event Going Off Sensor Switch". I have all my rigs set to "Network Activity Suspended" with Completed WUs being stacked up for upload after 16 0300Z November 2015. Mostly OET and FAAH2.

t will be interesting to see what our XS stats are like following the 11th Birthday Anniversary initial WUs dump. Hopefully we will be able to get back to our BOINC 1.75 to 1.8 Million points daily PPD. We should have a clear picture of our standings for the 11th Birthday Challenge and MMCME 2015 by the 18 November 2015 after PPD have stabilized.

Good luck with your drive wipes...

Re: XtremeSystems Campsite

Was thinking the other day how reliable the site has been this last 6 months, but just tried to access it & no joy. Hopefully it's just Fugger doing a spring clean.
Site back up. Looks to have been off for 10hrs

Re: XtremeSystems Campsite

Open to ideas here

ISP sent new router to go with speed upgrade

After the changeover I seem to be on the same IP so presumably nothing changed at their end (it took only moments to change)

I only use this router in modem mode so effectively it is modem for modem swap.

A small number of connections (the older speedtest for example) can hit 200Mb down but open multiple connections and it is like using a cheap home router in that it cannot cope with a large number of connections and only reaches around 30-40Mb.

In view of the fact that it is the only change can you think of any other reason than it being a POS
