As said in the title, my Boinc project graphic screen saver flickers. Other screensavers do not.
Any help on solving this would be greatly appreciated. |

As said in the title, my Boinc project graphic screen saver flickers. Other screensavers do not. Any help on solving this would be greatly appreciated. Let me try to give a more useful response: How is the agent installed as in, as service or as user? When as service, i'd recommend to also select 'allow all users' during installation. When you say 'other' screensavers, do you mean regular windows screensavers or other boinc screensavers? |

When I said other screensavers don't flicker I meant non WCG windows ones.

How do I determine whether the agent is installed as a service or as a user? Open task manager with ctrl+shift+esc keys, select the all processes button left bottom and look in the services tab. As service, boinc would be listed there. When I said other screensavers don't flicker I meant non WCG windows ones. OK, so it's no flicker with any screensaver other than those that come with the boinc projects. Curious, as uplinger wrote few days ago there was a specific screensaver fix in the 7.2.47 release. Self, not experiencing this but installed specifically service+allow all users. What is the gpgpu make, amd-ati or nvidia? |

Boinc is not listed as a service.
I have had this issue for a long time. I had turned off the screensaver. I saw Uplinger’s note and it reminded me that it would be nice to get it working correctly. The GPU is made by Nvidia. |
