Renaming in a Lab

We want to run the agents on the computers in our lab, but we want them all named individually for research and testing purposes. In other words, we want: Tech1, Tech2, Tech3, Tech4... and so on.

However, we re-image our computers every few weeks (because it is a lab), and ... that would cause all the computers to adopt the name of the original computer. So therefore, if we made the software change to computer #7, and re-imaged it to the rest, then ALL the computers in the lab would be processing as Tech7.

This would be fine IF we could change all the other computers back to their respective usernames (Tech1, Tech2, Tech3).

BUT ... you can't rename it unless you move to an original name.

Is there any way to rename a computer back to a name that exists in your database? and solutions?

I'm Currious. (having worked most of life in labs) . . .
why would you want to re-image your computers every few weeks?

Re: Renaming in a Lab

it's a classroom lab where we learn networking and everything else on the N+ certification exam. so therefor, part of the course is "maintaining a computer lab environment" and so we learn all sorts of programs and experiment with all of them
