The question is not so much of it being on 'one' of your devices, rather, where is that one device? There is the 'skip image file verification' which the tga files all are and of the one-time-download type, out of the cloud somewhere. This is an option under the agent computing preferences network tab. The option is described as 'check this if the isp modifies image files'.
Give it a try if this device is someplace unique. |

And, lavaflow, haven't you suffered this error message previously, and uplinger gave a kick to the IBM Content Delivery Network in response? What was the outcome?

Yup, so it seems, 'out of the cloud somewhere', and most always the fixed files. Outcome not logged in that thread. A workaround was iirc to insert the direct wcg ip in some host file and you won't incur it again.
----------------------------------------![]() Still curious if the skip image verification works whilst having the problem. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Oct 22, 2014 10:50:43 AM] |

For the senior architect: Looking through, there's quite a few incidents over time of these 'cdn delivered files failing to download properly'. Is there no verification process in place to ensure the cloud copies remain whole and true to the master copies? Being static, how could they even become un-whole?

'cause NONE of the WCG new WU's are coming to that PC! wouldn't want to skip image file verification...it is enabled fora reason on WCG version of BOINC...never messed with that! |

NEED HELP!? :/ ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by KLiK at Oct 23, 2014 7:35:24 AM] |

KLiK, I know in another forum you posted this was resolved and I am happy for that.
lavaflow, I was going through some old support tickets and thought I would comment about the CDN. Yes, there have been an issue here and there with the CDN. The last one was a mistake on my part for not triggering the CDN to precache the files. The CDN does not allow for us to check the status of every file on their servers as it is a large system with I believe 24 data centers across the globe. Their reliability rate for files between centers has to be 100% but I do not know their backend software. So to answer your question if we can verify the data, no we can not. Thanks, -Uplinger |
