Seem that the check in the box for Please opt me in to new projects as they become available. did not work, at least for me.

Yoro42,
I have not run the script that opts members in to new projects. This is a script that has not been run since our last project launch and I need to confirm that everythign for it is in order. Since our last project launch we changed how the database field for project preferences is stored, thus I am testing it extensively. Thanks, -Uplinger |

Hi Yoro42.
It might be something different, but I had - Participate in All Projects box ticked and I got work for U.G.M straight away. |

It might be something different, but I had - Participate in All Projects box ticked and I got work for U.G.M straight away. I have that Opt IN box ticked too but I had to manually opt in to UGM project. I thought that maybe because I don't have all projects checked I had to either manually tick the box for UGM or maybe wait for the script to run. CEP2 doesn't run on my system so I participate in all projects but that one. [Edit 1 times, last edit by mikefinn at Oct 15, 2014 2:08:38 PM] |

OK, no tested auto-opt-in script, no set and forget. At least wcg got till the official public launch, ensuring for a real slow technical launch. See nothing on the facebook page, for forum readers only, so it's still a 'let's not trumpet'.
Frankly, i really have no words for, what's the word i'm looking for ![]() |

Hey at least we know if it didnt work, it's going to work later.
----------------------------------------I managed to download ONE work unit. I don't like a big que :D Eighteen MCM and a CEP2 (which I'll clean up and keep my 2 CEP2 going) So no big rush for me, but now I have to decide on the new comp. ![]() ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Jack007 at Oct 15, 2014 9:21:40 AM] |

Don't forget one of the big complaints last time we had a new project was that it did not work correctly, some complained it screwed up their selection so maybe extensive testing is a good thing

Doesn't matter if they served up free hot fudge sundaes, someone would complain about the cherries (or lack thereof).

Database changes defiantly have the potential to wreak havoc. So far I have 23 Valid, 22 Pending Validation and 1 Error. Thanks again, yoro42 ![]() |
