I have seen that there are only 3 proyects active now. I dont understand it. It is a really very important oportunity to advance in several problems ...and only 3 proyects investigated?
I can believe it. |

There is another project in BETA at the moment so there will be 4 projects in the not too distant future. How may projects are being done is up to the scientists. They have to conceive of the project, get funding, and bring their proposed project to WCG. WCG acts as a bridge from the scientists to the crunchers. Without the scientists thinking up new projects, there is not much WCG can do. If you are aware of scientific endeavors which need the computational power WCG can provide, steer those scientists to WCG so they can submit a proposal to get their project boarded here.

Hello ironmansp,
----------------------------------------You have missed a few while they have been active (some of them for a few years each), so now there are "only" 3. You can bet there is a lot of work on them. It seems you have been away for a while. 4-5 projects seems to be the average for WCG. Various projects have finished and now there are currently 3 (with a 4th on the way). Also, there have been many posts/threads about this same subject.

IIRC, 3 sub-projects are the average for WCG OK, I confess: I tried to wing it from memory (hhhmmm... what day is today? ) I couldn't remember if it was 3-4 or 4-5 projects average, but I do remember that it was not close to last year's 7 projects that were running. Thanks for keeping me honest .CJSL Crunching for a better tomorrow... |

BTW How can I get a sign like yours ? A cruncher by the name of SNURK very kindly creates them for us. All you need do, is submit a request at the end of the thread I've linked to (below), then in a few days time, he'll provide a link which you can then add into your forum signature.
