With the closure of the SN2S project and it's moving from 'Intermittent' to 'Completed' status (a project that I still had selected, in the hope that it'd be coming back at some stage), I've just discovered that the FightAIDS@Home project had been 'reactivated' without me doing anything. I can't remember the last time I had this particular project selected, choosing instead to bring the other projects up to the equivalent level of participation. So, as I'm still working on my CEP2 & MCM1 Sapphire badges, this wouldn't have been something I'd have done myself.
----------------------------------------Did something not quite 'go to plan' in this update?, and perhaps I wasn't the only one... ![]() |

You are not the only one. On one profile (school), I only had MCM1 & SN2S checked. After SN2S was moved to Completed, MCM1, CEP2, and FAAH were all checked.

It is not uncommon for the "My Projects" page to autonomously update, but this would be the first report I've seen of the device profiles changing themselves.

I have seen this too - had MCM1, CEP2 and SN2S selected. After moving SN2S to completed, I had FAH selected as well.

On 'my projects' nothing was selected but sn2s to ger beta by priority, still nothing is on the remaining 3. Tablet profile 'work' has not changed, just fa@h. School has not changed, just fa@h, it had sn2s selected, for days of dreaming. All other profiles have nothing selected because they were last overruled by 'my projects'. What we know it's not a bug, it's a feature.
----------------------------------------Wcg has many undocumented usability 'features', such as when you want to edit multiple profiles and done one, you can't hit device profiles to return to the list, you have to use the browser back button, or first hit device manager to get to an active device profile link before you can edit the next profile. ![]() One other feature has now kicked in/out. Since there's always one project that has to be selected to be able to save a profile, you have no 'intermittent' escape clause to give beta fetching priority. That will slow down the testing goals. Just tried to re-save the 'my projects' with the noted no projects selected and this popped up At least one project must be selected ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Oct 1, 2014 6:44:31 AM] |

Since there's always one project that has to be selected to be able to save a profile, you have no 'intermittent' escape clause to give beta fetching priority. It might be too late for you, but if you previously had one profile set for just SN2S you could have left it untouched for Beta fetching. You'd then have to switch each machine to another profile for intermittent reloading of your cache - tedious if you have many machines. ![]() |

Since having no need for the other profiles to include which was custom created 'workserver', picture a face with a smile which would outdo the joker's (Until the technicians change the 'feature' set and project selections again without notice )Till then, only need to do the profile switching if a beta comes along, once or twice a semester ![]() |

The now in windows booted pc is running all cores loaded with beta19 with just such a modified profile. Believe it or not, doing it through 'my projects', so that all profiles actually get primed in one fell swoop. Just no android this round, but that would be stretching it anyhow. One lazy bone ![]() Ps, ot this is, but thought it funny that this is post 777, and no battery issues my plane has though. ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Oct 7, 2014 5:37:47 PM] |
