Getting Machine stats

Hey,
Is there a program out there or method of getting stats for all of my machines?

At the moment, the best thing I can find is device statistics from my profile and then looking up info on boincstats.com

In an ideal world, I would be able to have break down by Computer name, cores, run time, points and then I would be able to add custom tags such as location too. Then I can manipulate the data to do pts/hr, work done by location etc.

I have been toying with doing this by myself in excel but with over 200 machines over the years, making the two sets of info match up would be very very time consuming. And then updating them would also take a bit of time.

Is there anything out there that can do this? Or even come close?

Cheers!

Re: Getting Machine stats

There is a programs called wcgdaws here - http://www.wcgdaws.com/forums/index.php?topic=39.0

I think it does a screen scrape of the result status but I haven't used it since the site redesign. Version 1.3.3 I think takes the redesign into account but I haven't used it.

Unfortunately, WCG doesn't seem to keep result status figures for very long any more - a few days at most for completed results.

Unfortunately WCGDAWS has not worked since the site redesign. It was perfect for getting stats for all of ones machines.

Re: Getting Machine stats

Wcg has set up an api to extract the data in 3 different formats. See http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/viewSearch.do?searchString=api

It's got it's limitations. There's only equal-to conditions, not a not-equal, so if you're not interested in extracting aborted tasks, you can not. Such an enhancement to add the ExitStatus <> or < or > would be appreciarted.

Does not say if you can use for instance multiple ValidateState=

Awwww. Wcgdaws sounds as if it was pretty much what I needed but it sucks that it doesn't work.

That api doesn't work for what I want as it is results based.

Thanks though. I'll try to find a way of doing what I need. It hope it's not too frustrating.

Re: Getting Machine stats

Can't find the thread about using XML to get stats. Saw something in the help section.

Re: Getting Machine stats

If you don't want to compile the machine stats from the results info, which is what wcgdaws did, you can always pull the daily export of hosts from http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/boinc/stats/ A rather big file. Generally querying the various statistics pages -as viewed- does not work anymore since wcg changed their website early this year.
