Repairs are coming along. No more walls int eh basement and a lot of other things to do now. Like rebuild some of the walls properly. As for location good guess but not correct, I am in Sudbury, Ontario. I seem to remember going through Sudbury a long time ago, 1967 I think. I had been in Kenora and was on my way to St. Catherines for the Canadian Henley. It was a long drive, but a pleasant trip. Cheers

The only time I was in Canada was for expo67. I was in New York for IBM training and I took my wife to the expo.

Keith, I thought that the program you use picks up the number of points reached as part of the programming interface. So why is there a zero missing from the 32,00,000? Should be 32,000,000... My program does the figuring but not the posting. That was my fingers showing their lack of coordination. Thanks for the heads up! |

As for location good guess but not correct, I am in Sudbury, Ontario. Jeff Sigh, I was thinking of the hurricanes in the Atlantic that missed the east coast. The Maritimes can get a lot of rain from those as they pass offshore. Of course, you don't need a hurricane to have flooding. For some reason, Sudbury seems to stick in my mind but I can't remember the connection. I've been to all but 6-8 of the states here in the US, three of the seven continents but only once to anywhere in Canada (I don't count the bus ride thru Vancouver from the marine terminal to the airport). Sudbury looks quite sizable and the terrain is not surprising knowing the geologic past of the Great Lakes. Something tells me it's rather senic. One question that does come to mind though. I'm aware of lake effect snow from colder artic air moving south across the lakes. I would presume there's a similar thing with warm air from the south and rain? That's not one I've heard the meteorologists discuss. |
