Webpage except forum is not running for several days

Hi, I am not able to see your website. Homepage, mycontribution etc...nothing except forums works. I tryed it from another computer, another browser and even another place (work / home). Boinc is running without problems. If I trye to google your page and click for example to contact I can see thius: Error page exception

In discussion with another support site, where it's found that firefox+'https everywhere' suddenly started blocking what are suspected to be java(script) elements, preventing active graphics to not show up. Noscript has all the exceptions set, but not until disabling said https everywhere, no show of graphics. Opposed, not experiencing this with wcg. This happens on both pc and android tablet with the add-in loaded. Neither software was updated, but the add-in draws on scripts from the internet, like any av software pulls new signatures daily or more frequent.

Now testing with the 5.0 development version to see if the issue goes away. Watch this space, any chaotic space on these forums.

I have not seen an issue with the website using a version of firefox. I am going to test various browsers.

Lavaflow, have you been able to recreate the problem?

Pepik.r, What are your system specs, browser and operating system. If you have any addons, etc.

I have just done simple tests using these browsers:

Safari 7.0.6
FireFox 24.4.0 and 31.0
IE 11.0.9600.17239
Chrome 37.0.2062.94

All of those browsers passed.

My guess is there is an addon that is preventing the WCG page from operating properly. What addon's are you using in your browser?

Note, there has not been a change to the WCG website for more than a few weeks.

uplinger, yes, reproducible. Generated a ticket at the eff. They'll probably create an exception rule. wcg is listed in their scripts database too, and works fine under 4.0 and 5.0 dev of https everywhere.

To add, the wcg script from https everywhere, showing awareness of the www / secure flip flopping.
