I recently had to reinstall Windows and now have my computer listed twice. In other projects one can merge the old with the new but I don't see that option under Devices.

Thanks. That's too bad. Website design oversight no doubt as all other BOINC projects have it. Oh well, I'll just have to live with it. ;-)

....not an oversight, WCG Pre-dated Boinc More accurately, many features of the website pre-date WCG's use of BOINC. |

Or maybe just stuck in the past with too many layers of veneer on top, so desperately wanting to be different and out-standing, yet the basic boinc user functionalities 'still' not integrated/implemented. It's an almost daily exposé here of things not there and frankly, all the gloss in the world can't cover it over. Merge computers, in your dreams, it does not fit the wcg hidden agenda, the one shaped for the ibm hq corporate sponsors.
November 16 is the 10th anniversary, would that coincide with 1 million runtime years? The last 30k years to go to 970k took 75 days and the post holidays speedup is bound to kick in again, so likely too soon for 11-16. All the sheldon cooper's building up spontaneous combustion pressure, and then, as was the 2 billion results event, an implosion. Stoneface vladimir putin is doubtlessly a happier camper than the wcg leadership. |
