Congrats. You must be doing something right because there are some awfully powerful rigs just below you. Lets see how long you can stay there.

Thanks guys!
----------------------------------------App 2 weeks from today I should have a dual 2011 V3 board and chips. Clueless on what the chips will be as this time around I can't "get" them but have to borrow them. I did ask for a pair of unlocked multi 18 cores but I'm not holding my breath on that one! ![]() ![]() |

I just took a look at the listing and I was surprised to a how many high thread count rigs are on WCG. I actually saw one with 80 threads and another with 96 threads. I'm guessing these are quad sockets.
----------------------------------------In terms of total credits, my 32 thread dual octo core doesn't even make the top 20 coming in at 21 - and that's been crunching and that's been crunching for about 2 years now I think. ![]() ![]() |

The really high thread counts are most likely cloud servers that someone has commandeered. Would certainly like to know if anyone on here physically has a quad socket E7 Intel system.
----------------------------------------As far as the total credit is concerned, the huge credit numbers from the GPU computing project might be added in there if that user is still using the same system from back then which really gooses the numbers. It all depends how the numbers are sorted. Happy to see my quad AMD machine (6176) in the top 5 when sorted by credit/day at the moment. Not bad for some $100 used ebay cpu's. http://boincstats.com/en/stats/15/host/list/12/0/0 ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by ryan222h at Aug 1, 2014 4:39:04 PM] |

That's a good point. I keep forgetting about that GPU cancer project. It seems like ancient history. The dual octo rig had a couple of 79xx cards in it for that so I did rack up some serious points on that machine.
