Can we have some consistency in the format of the stats please?

OK so I'm looking at stats overall and stats for a specific device, I notice an issue which is a basic data processing error!

The format of the columns are different:

On 'My Contribution' page/Statistics By Project, it looks like this:

Project Points Generated | Results Returned | Total Run Time (y:d:h:m:s) | Badges Earned

However, on the device stats page:

Total Run Time (y:d:h:m:s) | Points Generated | Results Returned

One of the first thing I learnt many years ago when dealing with data sets or stats was to keep them all in a consistent format, which these clearly not!

I know changing the format would take some work for the developers and the screen scrappers who rely on the data in the current format, but this is wrong and against basic rules of data/stats formatting.

Team stats appear to be the same as the 'My contribution' page...

Other comments welcome.

Edit: typo yet again (and after I checked it too)

Re: Can we have some consistency in the format of the stats please?

Can we also get the date formats for non-US locales fixed please ?

On My Contribution page:
https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/viewMyMemberPage.do
The Registered Member Since: date is in european format but the
Team Joined date is in US format.

In results
Workunit Status shows Created: in US format but Sent/Due/Return in european.

Device Statistics History
Statistics Last Updated: is european but Last Results Returned is US.
Stats for a device Statistics Last Updated: is european but Statistics Dates are US.

My Contribution History
Registered Member Since: and Statistics Last Updated: are european but Statistics Dates are US.

My Team
Created: is US, Statistics Last Updated: european.

Team Statistics History
As Device etc.

May be others...

Paul.

Re: Can we have some consistency in the format of the stats please?

+1 Paul!

I thought it was quite straightforward to get the locale info from the browser and display everything in the format requested by the user. But if that's just too much like hard work, can we please standardise on ISO format (YYYY-MM-DD) instead, then at least it would be computer-friendly and the same for everyone?

For the techs:
I have just checked all languages and I found no inconsistency for French. All other languages show the reported inconsistency, although Chinese shows a slightly different one.
