I've just seen the first example of a WU ending up with a Valid result that was previously Errored for me, so the fix is working

Finally one of my tasks, where I manually increased the file upload limit in client_state.xml,
got validated against a repair job with the right limit parameter coming from the server: FAHV_ x2HC0-2w0n0_ 0871384_ 0544_ 6-- 720 Valid 11/07/14 21:41:20 13/07/14 15:07:23 10.97 122.9 / 172.4 FAHV_ x2HC0-2w0n0_ 0871384_ 0544_ 5-- 720 Error 11/07/14 06:36:11 11/07/14 21:38:49 9.86 201.1 / 0.0 FAHV_ x2HC0-2w0n0_ 0871384_ 0544_ 4-- 720 Valid 10/07/14 09:09:51 10/07/14 23:37:41 8.71 221.8 / 172.4 <- mine FAHV_ x2HC0-2w0n0_ 0871384_ 0544_ 3-- 720 Error 10/07/14 03:38:30 11/07/14 06:35:34 7.03 213.3 / 0.0 FAHV_ x2HC0-2w0n0_ 0871384_ 0544_ 2-- 720 Error 09/07/14 03:11:37 10/07/14 03:30:33 6.33 326.5 / 0.0 FAHV_ x2HC0-2w0n0_ 0871384_ 0544_ 1-- 720 Error 08/07/14 23:57:01 10/07/14 09:09:20 6.84 176.3 / 0.0 FAHV_ x2HC0-2w0n0_ 0871384_ 0544_ 0-- - Detached 08/07/14 23:55:11 09/07/14 03:10:13 0.00 0.0 / 0.0 |

I would like to apologize for lost CPU time due to the file upload errors. This was caused by shorter jobs and more jobs needing to be put into a single workunit to help the runtime averages to be decent to help with database load. By doubling the size of the result file limit, this should help prevent this in the future.
Again, I am sorry for the frustration. -Uplinger |

Thanks Keith.
All is forgiven. Was worried that my PC blew a transistor in its memory, or something. I'm getting older, and my memory sometimes goes, so I thought the same may apply to my PC. |

One of my "error -131" WUs is proceeding badly, with all wingmen so far erroring with "process exited with code 195 (0xc3, -61)" and "ERROR: VINA was killed by signal 9". Most errored in task 0, one made it to task 10 and one to task 64. I find that odd, given that my _0 copy completed all 140 tasks before suffering the original "-131 (file size too big)" error.
FWIW, I notice that all wingmen were running BOINC 7.3.2.or 7.3.12, whereas I was running WCG BOINC 7.2.47 (Win7 on i5-750). I'm posting in case this WU needs investigating. -------------------------- FAHV_ x3CYW-1w1n0-BAsh25-B_ 0871509_ 0548_ 11-- 716 Error 15/07/14 18:56:03 15/07/14 19:00:06 0.00 0.0 / 0.0 FAHV_ x3CYW-1w1n0-BAsh25-B_ 0871509_ 0548_ 10-- 716 Error 15/07/14 18:50:18 15/07/14 18:52:32 0.00 0.0 / 0.0 FAHV_ x3CYW-1w1n0-BAsh25-B_ 0871509_ 0548_ 9-- 716 Error 15/07/14 18:44:04 15/07/14 18:47:31 0.00 0.2 / 0.0 FAHV_ x3CYW-1w1n0-BAsh25-B_ 0871509_ 0548_ 8-- 716 Error 15/07/14 18:30:15 15/07/14 18:33:57 0.00 0.0 / 0.0 FAHV_ x3CYW-1w1n0-BAsh25-B_ 0871509_ 0548_ 7-- 716 Error 14/07/14 14:43:33 15/07/14 18:25:21 20.66 71.9 / 71.9 FAHV_ x3CYW-1w1n0-BAsh25-B_ 0871509_ 0548_ 6-- 716 Error 14/07/14 14:36:46 14/07/14 14:42:53 0.00 0.0 / 0.0 FAHV_ x3CYW-1w1n0-BAsh25-B_ 0871509_ 0548_ 5-- - In Progress 14/07/14 08:12:36 17/07/14 20:12:36 0.00 0.0 / 0.0 FAHV_ x3CYW-1w1n0-BAsh25-B_ 0871509_ 0548_ 4-- - No Reply 11/07/14 02:35:31 14/07/14 14:35:31 0.00 0.0 / 0.0 FAHV_ x3CYW-1w1n0-BAsh25-B_ 0871509_ 0548_ 3-- 716 Error 10/07/14 20:26:58 11/07/14 02:35:06 4.31 29.1 / 29.1 FAHV_ x3CYW-1w1n0-BAsh25-B_ 0871509_ 0548_ 2-- 716 Error 10/07/14 20:12:18 10/07/14 20:26:36 0.18 0.8 / 0.8 FAHV_ x3CYW-1w1n0-BAsh25-B_ 0871509_ 0548_ 1-- - No Reply 10/07/14 20:11:27 14/07/14 08:11:27 0.00 0.0 / 0.0 FAHV_ x3CYW-1w1n0-BAsh25-B_ 0871509_ 0548_ 0-- 720 Error 09/07/14 07:24:44 10/07/14 20:10:55 7.54 166.5 / 166.5 -------------------------- Thanks for the bonus of points awarded, though! |

Follow-up: _5 ended with No Reply, so all repair jobs have failed.
I've just noticed that my App Version was 720, whereas all the repair jobs were 716. Is that weird or what? ![]() |

This is a platform change, the 7.16 were probably processed on android. Not the first time.

Thanks, lavaflow; it's shame that none of the later repair jobs went to a machine that could process it successfully
