Eric, that last sentence reads wrong 'where boinc is allowed to use the resources if the device is not in use.' Strike not?

It's very frustrating that most errors occur at night, when the charger is able to keep up, operating the power button so the screen goes to black and not some screensaver mode makes a difference. Had one last night with a rare exit code 26, the second i've reported now. Android task manager does not show anything running and the av is only to scan once per week when the church bells toll. Nothing running but boinc and the os.

What we know of the berkeley agent version is, it uses only the project selections of the device profile, uses pieces of the 'default' profile, which is not documented that i've seen, and the rest it uses local prefs. Not sure, but think the default is for 'while device is in use' to be -not- ticked.

Gave it one more try with the last 7.32 version since simap supply is sketchy atm. Waited for latest sets of work, but now get 100 percent fail, at some point in time with the below, always the same, although the fail code varies between 11 and 193.

The simap go 100 percent valid, thus is it the agent, the tablet, me or jim carrey causing this for fahv? It certainly is no fun seeing a task go out at 49 hours.

The long running workunits have had a very negative impact on the Android results but we are still working on the issues. We will try and get the next beta out as soon as possible.

Put one of my odroids on the projekt again. So far nor errors. 4 wu valid and 3 wu pending validation. I am using nativeboinc.

Which BOINC client are you using with nativeBOINC? Default 7.0.36 or older 6.12.38?

I also experienced something similar with 1 of my android devices. Just not sure which one. The CPU time and Elapsed Time don't match, is that a factor?

This 'android_8837ed7' uniquely connects to the device in question. Think the unique name is printed in the event log of the agent during startup.

Elapsed aka runtime is always longer than cpu time as not all cycles go to the boinc during the time the task was allowed to run. The smaller the difference, the more efficient the host is processing boinc tasks.

If you click on the 'error' link on the result status pages, do they all list the same error, e.g. signal 11 or sigsegv 193?

Yes, most of them were signal 11.

process got signal 11 (10+ results)
process exited with code 193 (2 results)
process exited with code 236 (1 result)

As a side note, thanks for the tip lavaflow. I searched the Event Log (Client Messages) on the android device app. It does show the full unique name if you search through to where it says "Host Name: android_xxxxxxxx"

I'll go back and check each device and find out which one is producing errors.

I was surprised to find it was my nexus 4 and nexus 5 giving errors... They are the fastest devices I have.

I have 2 galaxy tabs (10.1), and a s4 that seem to be functioning normally. These were all set to use Max cores at 100%.

Going to ditch the paid avg and try the free avast on the tab. Nothing in the former that allows excluding the boinc data-dir from scanning, a kind of regular action on pcs.
