Well Brazil-Croatia wasn't too much of a surprise although a lackluster game. Neither was Mexico-Cameroon.
----------------------------------------But what about Espania-Nederlands? What a blow out. So many people had Spain going to the finals. Chile-Australia doesn't promise to be be very exciting but one never knows.   |

Thoroughly enjoyed the Spain -v- Holland game. Some wonderful goals, and if Holland had converted all their chances, they would have won by a greater margin!

Thoroughly enjoyed the Spain -v- Holland game. Some wonderful goals, and if Holland had converted all their chances, they would have won by a greater margin! C'mon England! :) Holland is a region and former province located on the western coast of the Netherlands. The name Holland is also frequently used as a pars pro toto to refer to the whole of the country of the Netherlands. This usage is generally accepted, but some individuals, particularly from the other parts of the Netherlands, dislike the use of "Holland" as a substitute for "the Netherlands".  |
