Hello all,
----------------------------------------I was just wondering if there is a safe temperature setting so that the phone would not be damaged by WCG projects. The standard setting is 40C, but I thought that it is too high so I moved it down to 35C. Does anyone have insight if that is still going to damage the battery from the heat? I have the HTC one M8 so my batter is internal instead of being easily switched out. Thank you ![]() |

I've got the same question. I've been searching the internet trying to find safe battery temperature ranges for the Nexus 5, but no one seems to be posting that info anywhere.
----------------------------------------I was running into a lot of errors with the official BOINC app, so I'm now running on NativeBOINC which had a default temp limit set at 60C. I lowered that to 45C but that's just a guess at max temp. ![]() |

Hi ravenigma, I had the same concerns about mine when I ran native boinc. I am using the HTC power to give app. So far it seems to be doing okay but the temp is also max 60. My concern is that since I can't remove the battery easily then it could break my phone in the long run.
