Since there's been no other reports it's probably a transient issue which should resolve it's self in a short time.

Check again and post if there's still a problem.

What you are seeing here are the images that are downloaded for the BOINC Simple Gui (BSG). If you're in advanced view you won't see these images.

As for not getting any CEP2 tasks, I will take a quick look.

Got it. Detach is now called Remove in new BOINC manager.
Did the detach and attach and a job is downloading.
