One of Four Computers not recognized by WCG
For undetermined reasons, my i7 64 bit computer lost partial contact with WCG about two weeks ago and I am unable to determine the cause. The BOINC ledger says the internet connection is fine but that the servers may be temporarily down for whatever reason. I can access the "Home" page and my normal account information including data on three other computers but I cannot secure work tasks for the i7 and my Boinc Manager projects page shows only the "World Community Grid" title and allocation percentage; no statistics at all.
I have done the following: multiple resets, multiple removals and reinstallation of WCG, and I removed Boinc 7.2.42 and re-downloaded and installed the same at least three times. Understand, I had made no changes to the Boinc operation that could have initiated this fault occurring; in fact the i7 had been running WCG and other tasks for weeks without diffulty.

Any idea of what to do to correct the fault?

Hi Bill,

Could you, please, post the first 50 or so lines of Event Log from your BOINC? Something in them might indicate your problem.

As far as I can see from it, WCG has very low resource share, so your BOINC doesn't need any work from it.

I think these messages are a bit misleading confused

Absolutely Interesting: As you can see below I participate in all projects offered but just a few minutes ago I did what I had done multiple times and SUSPENDED all except WCG projects: And without hesitation, numerous tasks were downloaded and are running. I do not understand what changed but all seems normal except my i7 machine still does not show under devices. Does not matter; problem solved and thanks for your fine assistance.

...all seems normal except my i7 machine still does not show under devices.
In Device Manager or Device Statistics History, note the filters at the top. If you set both filters (Installed/Registered Device, and With Result(s) Returned) to "anytime (all devices)", does the missing machine then show up?

So the problem was in low resource share for WCG. Good.

I think your i7 will show as soon as you return one WU. Or you can follow tony's suggestion.
