We've released a new FightAIDS@Home research application for Android users to address a recent issue causing more invalid results than expected. You may read more about it here.
Thank you for your support! ErikaT |

Great!
Hope this is the reason my android is being told to tasks available at the moment as the patch is rolling out. |

Hello Petnek,
We are still working towards finding a solution for the errors members are seeing. As for this release it was to help fix the invalid issue that members were noticing with the application. Thank you for your patience, -Uplinger |

I have one that's going on 21 hours at 60% on my Galaxy S3, hopefully it's still functioning properly?

Suppositioning that my tablet is generating enough sequential valids to allow it to go it alone:
orkunit Status Project Name: FightAIDS@Home - Vina Created: 04/04/2014 14:48:04 Name: FAHV_x3NF7_A_IN_Y3a_rig_0208004_1863 Minimum Quorum: 1 Replication: 1 Result Name App Version Number Status Sent Time Time Due / Return Time CPU Time / Elapsed Time (hours) Claimed/ Granted BOINC Credit FAHV_ x3NF7_ A_ IN_ Y3a_ rig_ 0208004_ 1863_ 0-- 716 Valid 4/4/14 17:27:34 4/5/14 07:22:33 9.74 60.9 / 60.9 And yes, on the 1.5 ghz encountered tasks that needed more than 24 hours cpu time, elapsed hours more. |

While the number of invalids has decreased there are many users experiencing errors with the latest version. We are working to address these issues and will try and get a new beta out soon. While we work on the issue some users in the past have had success in limiting the number of cores used. Any users who are having errors on multi core mobile devices can try and limit the number of cores that are used. This can be done by going to the preferences tab and selecting the option "Show advanced preferences and controls". Then under the preferences find the CPU section and change the "Used CPU cores" value. I would recommend starting with just 1 core and if there is success try increasing.

I'm not sure if this is caused by the Android FAHV application or NativeBoinc, but i restarted the client last night via "shut down" command in NativeBoinc and my running FAHVs reverted to a state much earlier than the last checkpoint and the CPU clock began counting at zero again, elapsed time counter was apparently normal.
Below is the result log of one of those tasks - Galaxy S4, 4/4 cores running FAHV. It seems the work unit took of at the last "tasks", in this case it's from the scratch. Here is another one still running: application: 7.16 FightAIDS@Home - Vina name: FAHV_x3NF6_A_IN_Y3b_rig_0205487_1271_8 elapsed (cpu): 16:25:58 (10:43:43) checkpoint: [19] 00:40:57 cpu%: 65,29 progress: 46,667 time left: 04:05:23 deadline: 14-04-2014 07:26 status: Running computer: android_arm This is the log file from the one that's finished (pending validation).
