Re: Boinc 7.2.42 - GPU does not run

Correct. WCG does not have any projects that run on the GPU at the moment.

Re: Boinc 7.2.42 - GPU does not run

Gpugrid does not have an AMD/ATI GPU project.
I currently have my AMD/ATI GPUs on milkyway@home while I'm waiting for poem@home to get the kinks worked out of their new GPU project. But there are several other AMD/ATI GPU projects.

Correct nerd

You can use your ADM/ATI GPGPU in the following projects:

- Collatz
- SETI
- Einstein
- PrimeGrid
- check here to find any suitable for you http://boinc.berkeley.edu/projects.php (except of WCG - the info there is outdated sad )

MilkyWay requires Double Precision computation capabilities, I am not sure if your card support such confused

Cheers and good luck

Re: Boinc 7.2.42 - GPU does not run

The partial misinformation is in the version 7 boinc client which lists wcg as having ati and nvidia support. Page through to tools > add projects and it shows icons for supported platforms in the info box such as something which could mean the raspberry and a few with a blue cube, which I suspect to be virtual box support, knowing LHC works through such an environment.

Any project not listed in the client and thus explicitly added by berkeley I'd not trust to attach to.

branjo forgot to also mention that these also have AMD/ATI support:
Moo!
distrRTgen
Albert
SETI BETA
sometimes BitcoinUtopia

and as mentioned above, POEM is still working on getting the kinks out of theirs. I only mention them so that the listing is more complete. biggrin

Nope Coleslaw, I didn't wink

- Moo! is not listed in BOINC Manager,
- distrTRgen is, well, distrTRgen sick ,
- Albert and SETI Beta are betas, so I would never recommend them to the DC newbie,
- I have no idea what BitcoinUtopia is blushing,
- I can't write about POEM without a fear my post will be moderated by ErikaT for "inappropriate forum language" devilish .

All in all, I listed my recommendations with link to all other in case OP want to shrub some of them nerd

Cheers peace
