Hi there,
I have nothing selected in my Profile as to Mapping Cancer Markers project but of course I have selected this project in My CONTRIBUTION tab section My Projects. If I'll disable the World Community Grid screensavers on my devices or I'll change them with other screensavers, how will I monitorise if all is OK with my computings? When I joined , downloaded and installed World Community Grid program on 2 devices, a PC and a laptop, I selected 2 projects for computing as follows: Mapping Cancer Markers and FightAIDS@Home as well. Additionally, I joined for ABC@home project on my PC only. My ScreenSaver runs it but it never get credits. Why? How can remove it on my screensaver? On my PC the screensaver works ok. But on my laptop the screensaver works ok for Mapping Cancer Markers only. FightAIDS@Home project doesn't work just if my laptop has all requirments for this project. Look at Results Status or in BOINC manager>> advanced view to monitor your performance. Disabling all screen savers will marginally improve your efficiency. Additionally, I joined for ABC@home project on my PC only. My ScreenSaver runs it but it never get credits. Why? How can remove it on my screensaver? ABC@home is nothing to do with WCG. To remove it BOINC Manager>>Projects tab highlight ABC@home then click Remove on the l/h sidebar How can I resolve this issue? because I lose credits. Running screensavers has no effect on credits earned. |

Hello pettud,
Why my screensaver doesn't run the second program selected by default FightAIDS@Home? It only runs Mapping Cancer Markers. I chosen as my screensaver World Community Grid program. The WCG screen saver option should run a project screen saver for a current work unit. If all your running work units are Fight AIDS at Home, then you should see the Fight AIDS screen saver. MCM is the most recent project. If even 1 work unit is MCM, I believe that you will see the most recent screen saver. You can check this by going to My Contribution - My Projects and unselect everything but Fight AIDS. When BOINC Manager - Tasks shows that you are only running Fight AIDS, you should see the Fight AIDS screen saver. I always bring up BOINC Manager and look at Tasks in the Advanced Menu to see what BOINC is running. I use 'blank' for my screen saver now. I used to use 'Stars', but eventually I wanted a screen saver without distractions. Lawrence |

What do you mean by "does not run"?
----------------------------------------- you do not get any FAAH or FAHV task to run - you get some but they do not start computing - your FAAH or FAHV jobs fail as soon as they start - anything else that I forget but still happens to you? |
