Re: What went wrong?

The midday stats have been run. It appears more like a three-quarters day stats update.

We posted a brief update about the website outage yesterday here.

The News section of the website is now where you will find all updates, announcements and new information about World Community Grid: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/about_us/viewNewsArticle.do?articleId=338

Thanks!

Erika, at other projects that appear to use the stock BOINC code for part of their website, posts to their News section normally shows in their forums as well. In fact, they may well be one in the same. Between our much more custom website and the MVN forum software, I suppose that is not possible for WCG?

Hi keithhenry,
We are not going to have News items automatically posted to the forums. The News section is now going to be the place where all communication is posted, including what was once posted in Member News and Known Issues in the forums. You can adjust your Communication Preferences to get notifications on different types of News items, if you wish.

Thanks :)
