Breakthrough

Hi all

I've had a look around the WCG website but I can't generally find this information, but I was wondering whether anyone was aware of any significant breakthroughs which have been a direct result of WCG users?

It's good to see that the WCG is supporting many projects, but I'm finding it hard to find the info where this has actually worked.

Kind Regards,
Thomas.

Re: Breakthrough

Hello Clockwork,
Aside from all the drug candidates, Dr. Foran's HDC was a quick pilot project that convinced a number of universities and research organizations to start followup research and development using computer imaging of cancer tissue biopsies. A computer (in silico) breakthrough is one that convinces researchers to follow up with wetware research (in vitro and in vivo).
