Any updates?

Can we get a science\status update?
A follow-up to this update would be awesome.

Re: Any updates?

We are hoping to send an announcement about their paper soon. The researchers are getting their collaboration started and will be choosing new target proteins related to childhood cancers to run on World Community Grid. They will have to determine/obtain the structures of the target proteins. This may take some months however. Thanks for your patience.

Re: Any updates?

Thanks Viktors.
Mind if I ask what "soon" means? A month?

Re: Any updates?

This is great news! Besides the wonderful benefits to science, I'll admit that I'm a total badge chaser and it will be nice to erase my non-sapphire blemish. biggrin

Re: Any updates?

A new/restarted project would be really nice. It really would be fun for a few days, if, and only if, I moved all my cores to the single project I could get the blue badge in under a week of crunching.

However, it is unlikely it would happen as it would mean dumping all current work to make way for the new project. Still nice to dream...

Re: Any updates?

Mamajuanauk: Pardon the off-topic, but why did you split into two profiles? You were just about to pass me in SNURK's globe signature ranking page.

I split so I could collect some XRP's without letting my other goals slip, goals which I can't chase in the Ripple team

I may bring them all back together again at some time

I only have 2 machines in the Ripple team, I have several crunching Rosetta, SIMAP & MalariaControl as these have been somewhat neglected of late

Edit - He (the other me) will still overtake you, just not yet... biggrin May be next month! Eagerly awaiting the return of HFCC as mentioned elsewhere...

Mamajuanauk, I don't think it is possible to merge two different profiles. You may want to look into that before you get too far down this road.
