Had a random recommendation pop up on Netflix that I just had to watch - Iron Sky.

I loved Iron Sky. You have look for comedic elements, which are overflowing. It think of it as a modern Rocky Horror Picture Show - not in the same vein of course, but in the sense that the comedy references other movie motifs.
----------------------------------------There's a sequel in the works that will be funded via Indiegogo - see here . ![]() ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by twilyth at Feb 3, 2014 6:40:07 AM] |

The movie "HER" had great reviews - but the techno-romance
----------------------------------------left me floating emotionally out in the cold. I'm probably in the minority re my thoughts - but here goes anyways. The premise, I suppose, is not so far fetched the way things are moving nowadays. Many people appear more interested in their devices than communicating face to face while in the same room. I've even seen a couple sitting across a table texting each other. There were several scenes I did enjoy... I get the sci-fi aspect which was both humorous and sad and sure technology is addictive, but come on, taking your cellphone on a 'double date' to the beach... give me a break. Liquid Sky
I clearly remember thinking "This has got to get better" about half way through. It didn't. I should have left. |

Thanks Bev. Who says you can't judge a movie from its trailers - LOL.
----------------------------------------I liked the premise but I couldn't see how they could successfully base a movie on that. I guess they couldn't. At the very least you need a holographic representation like Krieger's virutal girlfriend from Archer. ![]() Those segments always crack me up. But without some sort of manifestation of the program, it has to be nearly impossible to make a movie. ![]() ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by twilyth at Feb 3, 2014 8:47:32 PM] |

Haven't watched the series, twilyth but apparently the state of New York was blessing their union. They once laughed at space ships to the moon....who knows what the future holds in store. |
