Hi all,
----------------------------------------I was wondering why my PC is limited to only 1 Clean Energy Project. Is there a way to turn on more than one? I have 2500k running @ 5Ghz. Its the only BOINC project I have intrest in and I would leave my PC on 247 if its possible to work on more than one. Using latest version of all drivers and boinc. THANKS!

Go to whatever Profile you are using and towards the bottom:
----------------------------------------Project Specific Settings Change Number of workunits per host for The Clean Energy Project - Phase 2? If only wanting to process 1 CEP2 at the time (because of the memory required) upgrade to BOINC 7.0.64/65 (depends on it being Windows or Mac/Linux). That one allows to app_config [read forums topic], for each science how many are allowed to compute concurrent with the <max_concurrent> parm ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by jonnieb-uk at Jan 27, 2014 8:47:04 AM] |

If only wanting to process 1 CEP2 at the time (because of the memory required) upgrade to BOINC 7.0.64/65 (depends on it being Windows or Mac/Linux). That one allows to app_config [read forums topic], for each science how many are allowed to compute concurrent with the <max_concurrent> parm AFAIK, after you've created a new (or edited an existing) app_config.xml file in the (in our case www.worldcommunitygrid.org) project folder, you can do a 'read config' operation from the manager (in advanced view: ["Advanced" pulldown]-->["Read config file" option]) or (if using terminal / command-line) boinccmd --read_cc_config, so that the client reads the new app_config.xml without having to restart. Restarting the client though will also cause it to read the app_config.xml file, it just loses you any work that you haven't checkpointed, so it's not a preferred method of altering configurations. ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Mgruben at Jan 27, 2014 7:54:21 PM] |
