does BOINC work on Mavericks (OS X 10.9.1)? RESOLVED

I couldn't find anything in faqs or search about the newest OS X, which is what I've got. Did see a year-old post about Mountain Lion, but that is SO 2012. Will BOINC work if I download it?

Hello William,

I am running 7.0.65 on my OS X 10.9.1. (can't install any newer BOINC client), so I recommend to try 7.2.33 from here and if you will have problems with installation, try 7.0.65 from here.

OK now that I've got your attention - how the heck do I add a device? I see no FAQ, no answer to a search question, and most important nothing to click that says "Add a device". I dl 7.2.33 and installed - it asked for and rejected my user/password though they were correct...now whut?
