Weird 'stuck' unit

Likely a one-off, non-reproducible issue, but thought I'd report it.

I was working E218190_351_K.19.C13FH6N3S2.00099351.3.set1d06 on my Windows Vista/Intel machine, running WCG version 6.10.58, LAIM. Dual processor, single CEP, the other core was running Mapping Cancer Markers.

I mostly run set it/forget it, but happened to pull up the app, and saw the WU was running high-priority, about 17% complete, said it had 50 hours of processing left, with a due date 2 days out.

The completion percentage wasn't moving. I started up task manager, and it wasn't getting any time (+/- 50% system idle).

Plenty of free memory. Paused the CEP WU for a couple of minutes and then restarted it to see if that would help. No joy, still no getting any CPU.

I rebooted, and the WU began progessing - finished up in about 4 hours. Didn't know how to gather debug info, so I assume nothing will be able to be done about this. Reporting it in case someone else runs into it, to create some sort of trail.

Re: Weird 'stuck' unit

Tasks have been known to become stuck and doing a reboot like you did allow them to complete successfully as you have seen.

Re: Weird 'stuck' unit

I don't think we have an issue on the Harvard server side.
Best wishes,
Your CEP team
