devilish Can this thread be made sticky also?

What is the policy for making a thread sticky and how often is the sticky status reviewed? I've seen various sticky threads which started out with one purpose which have either been superseded or have rambled along for multiple pages only loosely connected to the probable reason the thread was stickied in the first place.

Here are some examples, a sticky thread congratulating WCG on it's 8th Birthday , last posted to around 10 months ago - hardly still worth being stickied I feel. Multiple sticky threads giving progress updates and WU types on a single project that has finished. A multi-page thread on "New" project settings started over three years ago and last posted to over a year ago.

So could we either have a bit of a tidy up of the stickies by the CA's/mods please, or alternatively can my post be stickied also so it doesn't feel left out? tongue

Re: Can this thread be made sticky also?

Would, if I could [can only on the Start Here forum]. The New project setting needs to stay, but it's title could do with an edit to highlight the 'override' it achieves on fetching CEP2 work [BW and quantity].

Re: Can this thread be made sticky also?

Thank you for your comment / suggestion. We plan on discussing a 'sticky thread' policy in 2014.

Sticky threads aren't always the most recent posts, but the usually contain important information. We are in the process of reviewing our communication procedures and will review this issue as well.

Thanks!
