Re: How the World Community Grid is installed in the Debian(Linux)

Does Debian not have a RPM system? Installing from package managers like through "sudo apt-get install boinc boinc-manager" pulls in the software and puts it in the right places. Heres one repository link: https://launchpad.net/~pkg-boinc/+archive/testing . The Debian maintainers are a bit behind on the version, but 7.0.27 is as good as it comes to get running.

(Sorry, only know Ubuntu, which is said to be Debian based)

...and should this be in the Boinc Agent Support forum, not the Suggestions Forum? wink

Hi all,

I am moving this thread to the BOINC support forum.

Thanks,

Try
sudo apt-get install lib64z1

lib32z1 if you installed 32 bit.
