Re: user_name

The user name is of course the one registered at WCG, not the Linux user name.

If the process of using boinccmd to attach to WCG with use of url / account key [the full account key, since there are several on the My profile page], the client would start fetching work, at the very least you would be able to verify in My Settings > Device Manager if the registration was successful.

To the question why name/team not listed all depends if the boincmd registration was good. Bug or feature, you'd have to ask at the developers if a bug. Just ran your "boinccmd --get_state >> state.txt" to capture all output and it sure prints out my username [all capitals though it is not]/team [In proper case]

If you run terminal only, no GUI, you may want to find out about BOINCTUI. (BOINC Textonly User Interface). Got it on my Linux box and is able to monitor local and remote devices.

P.S. Still doing this all in root [comment in other threat]? Scary!

edit: Correction... now wearing glasses, user name is also properly printed... SekeRob.
