Re: Ripple Labs

Hi, there's a mystery I can't solve, I've been running about in circles.

Two questions really. I've been contributing to the Ripple Labs team for a while, hoping to also receive some XRP for the effort. I've joined the team, entered the validation code and the time contributed (currently 369 hours) also shows up on my stats screen (https://www.computingforgood.org/my-stats). The XRP received is still 0, although about a week has passed and lots of tasks have been completed.

Also, anyone know how I could get rid of the SETI@HOME project from my tasks? Boinc has the "remove" button permanently disabled, and I could not find any other way.

Thanks for your input.

Re: Ripple Labs

I received 50 XRP from a friend, and I too have the same problem. Although the hours counter goes up, (so the system has to register that the computer is indeed crunching on their behalf), no XRP has been sent to my acount - ever.

No idea what's wrong.

Re: Ripple Labs

Same here: my wallet was funded by sending me 100XRP from a ripple guy but no XRP earnings from ripple after a week and 2000 hours of runtime!

Wht is going wrong here? Did I miss something?

Re: Ripple Labs

my account was 0 and in 11 days of computing i have 1080 XRP ... after 2 days i got my share everyday .... so this is what i did :

1. Start donating compute time
joined worldcomunity
joined ripplelabs team

2. Start Claiming XRP

Many ppl dont scroll down this page : https://www.computingforgood.org/register

After this you will earn XRP after u put your ripple wallet , WCG Username and WCG Verification Code and just Press the button "Start Claiming XRP"

And you are done :)

Re: Ripple Labs

Amazone EC2 have different offerings . I want to go for a paid spot instance. Which configuration is ideal for getting maximum output for WCG ? There is six categories and in each category there is two types of configurations available (Previous Generation and Current Generation) I am waiting for expert / technical observations on this matter.

General Purpose ( PG/CG )
Compute Optimized ( PG/CG )
GPU Instances ( PG/CG )
Memory Optimized ( PG/CG )
Storage Optimized ( PG/CG )

Thanks in advance

Re: Ripple Labs

I know what needs to be done, and did exactly what you describe (hence the fact that the hours get registered). I also input all the necessary codes.

What is wierd, is that the gridrepublic.org "gizmo" does not work correctly. The stats don't refresh properly and I can not use the "edit" button as it has no effect whatsoever. I will probably try to reinstall the whole thing again.

Re: Ripple Labs

on 10 th December 2013 the WCG: XRP rate was 257( WCG points : 28111392)
on 11 December onward the daily giveaway increased to 1M from 0.5M.
So on 11 December the WCG: XRP ratio stabilized on 143.

Again on 22 December the ratio crossed the 257 mark and went to 258 ( WCG Points : 257472877) Please check http://tinyurl.com/q7gr2qcfor details.

So it is time to think............

===========================================================================================

Another issue:

Can anybody with mathematical and statitical ability please make a formula for XRP difficulty like BTC difficulty ?

The base is 700 WCG point is a GIGA FLOP

on 11 Nov 2013 1GF = 17.5000......
on 12 Dec 2013 1GF = 04.8951......
0n 22 Dec 2013 1GF = 02.7131.......

Thank you

Re: Ripple Labs

It has now been 8 days, my hours are 8411 and my Earned XRP remains 0. I did what
familiaverde suggested as that is what the reply from Ripple Labs to my email said to do. I get Username already in use. My wallet is unfunded. I did everything correctly according to the email from Ripple Labs and the posts here. confused
At Ripple.com/client/balance

Welcome to Ripple.
Unfunded account

You currently don't have any ripples (XRP). To get started you can:

At Computing For Good MyStats

8411
My Hours Contributed
0
My XRP Earned

I am not part of the ripple movement, but based on those categories what I think you would need is the compute optimized category. Your storage and memory requirements should be minimal. The work units at WCG are all compute intensive. This is assuming the categories are all priced about the same.
Cheers

Did all that, no ripples, used secret code, no ripples, contacted support, WHAT A JOKE, no ripples. almost a month no ripples
out of that stupid team and them closing tickets constantly when issue isn't resolved.
