Looks like knreed will have to do some more coding on the "full disk" issue he discusses in this thread: https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,35771

I have 30 jobs from one machine not uploading, not checked the machines yet but I guess they will be the same - Server is out of disk space... :(

Did a quick network-on-off flip-flop and got a bunch of work [better now than wait for pending uploads => 2 times the number of cores in a device as that will block downloading until uploading is resolved, for WCG]
----------------------------------------The MCM [compressed] result files to upload aren't that big [biggest seen ATM is 920KB], but how are they stored on the server? If decompressed the same issue could come into play as with CEP2, the reason why we upload for latter project to Harvard directly. We're doing now about 9 times more MCM as CEP2, so data output is of similar if not of greater magnitude... whence we're in full swing with this science and it taking en equal piece of the pie shared with FA@H. edit: Highlighted the important bit, seeing some that are unable to get work. The Event/Message log is expected to print the explanation... "Too many uploads pending" or similar, if that is reason. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Nov 13, 2013 10:36:11 AM] |

Yup, glad I did what I wrote as my quad is now on 8 Results to upload and octo is about to reach 16. As noted, have now suspended all networking for the clients. No point in hitting the servers and got > 24 hours per core to crunch. Trust that will suffice to bridge the intermission and will switch back to "network per preferences" well past the cram-jam this afternoon, or later.
