For some reason my last 13 work units have ended in errors and I can't figure out why.

You can also try a reboot.

List your OS and machine specs and some error messages. then maybe we can help. Cheers I'm doing this from memory (at work). Win7 64bit, 8MB Ram, I7 3.00Ghz Processor, High end video, latest BOINC client. The BOINC error message: Computation error. Never had this problem before, it just started. Been doing BOINC on this computer for over a year. This is the result log of one of the results from my WCG page: Result Name: FAHV_ x3AVIaINfbA_ 0303277_ 0167_ 0-- <core_client_version>7.0.64</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <message> (unknown error) - exit code -148 (0xffffff6c) </message> <stderr_txt> INFO: No state to restore. See http://boincfaq.mundayweb.com/index.php?language=1&view=75 for error -148
Propose you run the installer and choose 'repair' and make sure you don't run multiple clients, lest they are VM setups. You -can't- have multiple clients access the same data directory. Guaranteed failure. But, we like the actual message log and not the 'from memory', so we can read the startup configuration. |

Do you mean the message log from BOINC? If so will have to wait until another WU is downloaded and run. I've been running SETI, Milkyway, Rosetta and WCG for years without any problems. All of this now is recent. I will post the BOINC message log as soon as possible. Mike |

No we mean the first 50 or so lines from the beginning of the log at Boinc start-up

OK 1st 50 lines. Anyway I was running WU's yesterday, and last night 7 or 8 uploaded pending validation. This morning I checked and 5 or 6 validated and I received credit for them. So maybe the others were corrupted D/L's or something. Looks like it may have fixed itself. I'll keep a watch and see what happens.

Another member, who must have missed this thread on your-148 error, started a new thread on same. Can't remember having seen this at WCG before your report, so wonder what is bringing this on, which is why we like the Event/Message start up log, to document an issue for later reference, so if we could compel you to do so, pretty please, and also some side info such as Antivirus/security softwarfe info. The startup log will also tell us such things as user level installation, or service/daemon. It suddenly became of import during debugging the last Beta test series.
