Also just wanted to mention that my previous username "JoeyJoJo (ocuk)" caused some trouble in the "my profile" pages of the website due to the brackets. The dev people should check that special characters are dealt with correctly! Changed it to an underscore and no brackets now.

hmmm, well, there's a known bug, where creating a member name with certain characters including the * works. Revising the My Profile then becomes impossible. Adage at WCG: DIRFT ;). [Tested this on a previous discussion of the issue, now also having a SekeRob* account with one forum post, and IIRC, there was going to be a bug fix session scheduled [oh yes I see Uplinger, of whom there's only one unique one, acknowledging in that linked thread)... i.e. we have tech confirmation. But, given with what's going on, probably landed with many other things at bottom of the stack, operations not exactly in reverse-polish at that ("notazione polacca" in Italian).

As far as naming is concerned, the member name is rather irrelevant [except for forum operations... change your member-name and your forum post count starts fresh]. It's the mentioned e-mail address that must be aligned [all lower case preferred at all projects], which nowadays has to be unique too at WCG...you can't create additional accounts with the same as was possible in the past.

NB: The usable character limitations have -nothing- to do with the forum software! As you saw, much more is allowed on -WCG- account creation, which happens outside of the forum, in the member registration process onto which the mvnForum was bolted. The "My [WCG account] profile" revision process needs fixing.
