Trying to set up a new account on a second computer. All well with download and installation but tasks will not download because
----------------------------------------"Peer certificate cannot be authenticated with known CA certificate" What does this mean and how can I sort it out?

Why are you using a new account? Why not use your current account?

This FAQ discusses a possible solution.
----------------------------------------"This error most frequently occurs because of incorrect time & date setting on the connecting computer..." A search of the forums also references; conflict with anti-virus program and problems with wireless connection. It would help to solve if you post: O/S BOINC version First 20-50 lines of the messages immediately after starting BOINC

Oooops, got it wrong. I was using my current account.
----------------------------------------And I have now solved the problem. I found that the date had somehow set itself to 2099. So, no wonder all the certificates had expired and I couldn't connect. When I came to write this post I noticed that wplachy had come up with the very answer that I needed. Everything now running. Many thanks for your help guys.

Can I join more than one team while having only one account? ![]() You can be a member of only 1 team at time in WCG.

And the team where you are at midnight (UTC) is the team which gets your contribution of the whole day.

It seems to me that if you have two or more computers working for WCG, you could set up more than one account and therefore support more than one team. I don't remember reading a rule that you can only have one account and only support one team.
----------------------------------------I would like to support more than one team, as I like at least one of the AMD teams. I would like to join one that uses Linux and I am also interested in one that does not stipulate Linux. ![]() SEL ![]() [Edit 3 times, last edit by SuDu2 at Nov 18, 2013 3:05:31 PM] |

If you gave each computer a separate account, you could have each of them on separate teams. Have at it. Cheers

Remember that separate IDs work best if you also use separate email addresses. It can get tricky.
