Hello.
What is the current status of each experiment as of now? Have we finished experiment 41? How far are we through the current experiments? Thanks. |

"What is t current FAH status?"......no idea as there is no FAH project here.....try Folding at Home project.....which is non-Boinc!

Hi whocrazy,
----------------------------------------You can check the latest status of the experiments at fightaids@home status page. The page was last updated on the 29th of August and experiment 41 was at 96% complete so by now I think it's safe to say that is completed. ![]() - AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF 6C/12T 3.2 GHz - 85W - AMD Ryzen 5 2500U 4C/8T 2.0 GHz - 28W - AMD Ryzen 7 7730U 8C/16T 3.0 GHz |

Hi whocrazy,
I prefer hiding my ignorance, but here is what I see. I recently ran a short FAAH work unit in the 105918 series, which the Status page ( http://fightaidsathome.scripps.edu/status ) says is from Experiments 73-78. The Status page says that some work unit ranges will be worked on by both FAAH and FAHV, but 105918 is only listed as being run by FAHV. Probably I am misunderstanding something, but possibly Dr. Santiago just does not want to type thousands of work unit ranges for each program. It must be time-consuming enough just figuring them out in the first place. Anyway, we began running very short work units on FAAH several weeks ago, so obviously we are out of Experiment 41. Now, to list the various stages of "finished" for an Experiment like #41: 1) All work units have been issued and units from new experiments are being issued, but for a month we keep re-issuing expired work units with 10-day expiration dates. 2) knreed loses patience and sends them out with 4-day expiration dates. 3) All results are neatly bundled up in complete batches, including the units that never validated but have finally exceeded the error limit. The batches are sent back to the project for evaluation. 4) Some of the work units that never validated are sent back from the project to be run with changed parameters. The staff decides whether to run them with 10-day or 4-day expiration dates. 5) Hopefully, the project scientists are satisfied and we are THROUGH. I have not heard a peep, but we are obviously through running new work units from #41. We are now running short work units for Android and more work units for FAAH and FAHV on regular computers. We are obviously running a number of experiment ranges simultaneously and I have no idea if they are paying any attention to sequence numbers or not. Lawrence |

Hello All,
First, thank you to all who tried to answer for what may be completed as of yet. It is quite true that I tried to streamline the presentation of batches, at first by creating tables, then by simply leaving out certain details. That last big Vina batch included 72 different unique grid parameters, so there would have been many lines of itemization for all of the details. In terms of completion, I will try to assess that today. A considerable amount of WCG recources has been given to FAAH due to the completion of several projects, and with the speed of Vina, I have been behind on the updates! I apologize for the lag in information, and hopefully, it will be up-to-date by the end of the week. Thank you all for the continued interest and support, Daniel |

Hello (again),
----------------------------------------The status page (mentioned a few posts above mine) has been updated. It seems that a few batches for Experiment 41 are in question, and we're running down those batches now, but less than 1 percent might still be straggling through. Either way, it should hopefully be resolved soon. For those who may be mindful of batch number and experiment "completion," there will still be somewhat of a lag time (hopefully only a few weeks' worth) between when all the batches from an experiment are received, until when we consider it as completed. Basically, this is the time for us (me, mostly) to check and make sure that the batches are "Ok" and whether they need to be resubmitted due to errors (very rare, but the process must be run!). Some of this may have already been discussed, so no new news here for some. Thanks for the support, Daniel [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Sep 24, 2013 3:51:51 PM] |
