Thought some of you might appreciate this status from my cluster from wwtop (Warewulf Top):
----------------------------------------Cluster totals: 230 nodes, 3680 cpus, 10305792 MHz, 5412.10 GB mem Avg: 96% cputil, 1965.00 MB memutil, load 17.32, 501 procs, uptime 111 day(s) High: 100% cputil, 16757.00 MB memutil, load 19.63, 32542 procs, uptime 359 day(s) Low: 0% cputil, 506.00 MB memutil, load 0.22, 308 procs, uptime 12 day(s) Node status: 230 ready, 0 unavailable, 171 down, 0 unknown The admin team is dealing with some fresh leaks due to the heat melting the snow over our DC again. It's fun to be back in the WCG mix and pushing the numbers with the new team and challenges. We may get some of the 171 "Down" back online after some cluster reconfiguration, maintenance, and a reboot... but I think we have the challenge squarely won already. Cheers! MrKermit ![]() |

We are crunching with ~225 nodes, at 2.8Ghz delivering a theoretical 4 Flops per clock cycle. So theoretically
----------------------------------------225*8*2.8*4=~20TFlops Peak. So at 9TFlops delivered ~46% efficiency using the max performance cpufreq governor. Now that I've switched to the cpufreq powersave governor my theoretical peak drops 225*8*1.6*4=~ 11.5TFlops. Let's see if the power savings which will be about 50% of the actual power draw will significally impact the productivity of the systems over the next couple days. Cheers! MrKermit ![]() |
