My most recent toy purchase is CM Quickfire. This keyboard is mechanical and has cherry mx red switches. It takes few days to get to know your new keyboard and so it is with this one too. Now I'm sharing my thoughts after only half of a day experience. It will be left to see, whether I find mechanical keys more ergonomical than more common rubber dome switches.
----------------------------------------Mechanical switches work conversely when compared to rubber domes. You can barely rest your fingers on keys, because only little force is required at the starting point of each stroke and resistance increases when keys are pushed down to bottom. This kb is surely great for gaming, but I still need to get used to it when typing. I still like how this sounds and how sturdy each keystroke feels. CM keycaps aren't my favorites, but because they are repleacable with any cherry MX keycaps, I probably change them to Filco Ninja keycaps or similar at some point. Also, this is the tenkeyless model, so this not only looks good on the table but when gaming, I can keep my mouse much closer to my left hand.
to infinity and beyond

got a galaxy tab 3 for reading,
----------------------------------------was comparing between the Kindle fire HD, but few apps on the kindle, and my wife and I have galaxy S2 phones already. I dont know what kind of software but it works like my phone. Wanted a surface but the price turned me off. (only 300 for the tab). Already have 6 Jack reacher books on there. And I hear the library will let you download up to 5 every 2 weeks, but then they disappear if you haven't finished them lol. Sounds good to me. I work security, and saturday I just Read :) ![]() |
