I have identified that IBM (WCG) can now enter the massive user-base of gardening! Keen gardeners spend large amounts of dosh on ensuring their precious plants do not suffer in winter.
Instead of spending their hard earned cash of a single threaded heater, either paraffin or electric, why not invest in a multi-purpose heater and benefit mankind in the process. Buy a laptop and drive it flat out 24/7 in your greenhouse. It will take the chill off the air and benefit the rest of mankind as well! (If through some mischance this turns out to be a viable proposition I demand a cut of the profits as I thought of it first)! ![]() |

I just recently fitted a solar powered fan and 2 solar powered lights in my greenhouse Alan. They do a decent enough job.
I grow all kinds of edibles in there. Nothing illegal or smokeable though. I would heat my greenhouse a bit in winter with the exhaust from my crunchers, if the greenhouse was closer to the house. |

How dumb am I Alan ? You know I really had not thought of that.
My wee flaptop is upstairs on Wi-Fi. This machine is on an Ethernet cable though. I'm gonna give that a go with the flaptop when it gets colder. Its pretty waterproof out there and the fan keeps the humidity down. The fan can be set to come on at night and use the backup battery too, if the humidity is too high. |

I have a number of my systems in a barn where I raise my new chicks in the spring. I still need to use heat lamps, but the ambient temperature of the area is still higher from the heat exhaust of the systems. Probably saves me the use of at least one heat lamp, maybe two.

Hmm, I'll bet that people who keep aquariums could do this to heat their fish rooms as well. :)

Hmm, I'll bet that people who keep aquariums could do this to heat their fish rooms as well. :) Especially if they were using a liquid cooling solution. Simply run the hoses to your radiator through the fish tank first and then through your radiator. I can imagine the overclockers drooling about the possibilities now. Cheers
