Time due on Pending Verification goes to 10 days?

I'm used to seeing the occasional WU going to Pending Verification and that's fine. Normally, that wingman gets four days to complete it. However, I just happened to notice this one below. The first wingman timed out as a No Reply after the expected four days. The second one aborted the WU. What I don't know is if they got four or ten days. I would have expected four. Now the third wingman got ten days. Shouldn't that have been four?

Re: Time due on Pending Verification goes to 10 days?

hmmm, that's been for quite some time, since about when HCC GPU ran [see prior discussion on 'reliable' and a dilution of that and why this is Spock logical. If there's no rush, verifiers get 10 days too. This ensures no bottlenecks develop in assigning jobs as has been the case when there's high numbers of tasks in circulation, starving those that were not rated A++ so to speak.

N.B. Comments on this made in past by uplinger and knreed! Oh, and there's a footnote in the Reliable FAQ ;>)

Re: Time due on Pending Verification goes to 10 days?

Thanks Rob. I looked at the BOINC: Deadlines for Standard & Rush Tasks and What Clients Get These entry in the FAQ. I'm used to seeing WUs sent out to users as a results of getting Pending Verification for me get four days. That also fits with what's in this FAQ entry and the deadline given on the _1 entry and indiactes it's a repair job. When the _1 timed out and went to the _2 user, I would presume it got another four day deadline but they immediately aborted it so there's no certainty on that. The ten days _3 got would indicate it's not a repair job at least at that point. I guess the real question is does a repair job always stay a repair job? I understand wanting to avoid bottlenecks that tell users there's no work at the moment while repair job get sent out to reliables. This just caught my eye because of the seeming inconsistency and got me wondering.
