Re: Good morning team.

Dave,

Of the two betas running at the moment one is for CEP and the other, although unnamed, has HST in the unit names. Read the beta forum for speculation as to what it stands for.

Crunchers Meetup?

I vaguely recall that Mamajuanauk was trying to organise a Team UK cruncher meetup sometime last year, before he dropped out of the forum. Would anyone be interested in a meetup over a beer, to discuss philanthropic computing, geeky hardware issues, and generally put the world to rights?

I live in Worcestershire, but I'd be happy to travel to Rod's place in Bolivia, if he pays the air fare biggrin

Re: Crunchers Meetup?

I second Bolivia, as long as expenses are paid.
I'll buy the beer!

Ha - another philanthropic subject. I think a meet up would be great but even my pension would not begin to pay for all the air fares. It looks like our team membership is spread far and wide over the UK with DarmatterNI being in the Emerald Isle (I deduce) and others in the North East. I seem to remember johnniebuk came from Leamington Spa and my base was Solihull so Worcester wouldn't be too far (apart of course me having to fly to the UK). If there is plenty of notice I might be able to modify my travel plans accordingly (as long as it is warm)

Re: Crunchers Meetup?

Solihull... on the edges of my old stamping ground (I went to school in Coleshill). Funnily enough, I met up recently with an old school friend (first time in 30 years) when he was visiting his parents in Redditch. He lives in Tokyo. The world's a smaller place with modern telecommunications, and satnav!

Re: Crunchers Meetup?

Good evening team,

I am almost back to full speed on my workstations after plenty of 3D rendering.

Meet up sounds good subject to venue location!

Good morning team.

Good morning all. smile

The talk about a get together is tempting, I live halfway between Biggin Hill and Gatwick, almost a straight line from one to other. smile

Re: Good morning team.

I will not be able to travel, just don't have the money to spare.
How about a video conference as well?
It would be nice to put faces to names.
