Not heard of them, then again folk musics tends not to be my thing. Bit of a change of pace for you from Alice Cooper!

Not heard of them, then again folk musics tends not to be my thing. Bit of a change of pace for you from Alice Cooper! Just had a listen to a couple on youtube, instant thought to my untrained folk music ears was similar to Gaudete from Steeleye Span. I realise I may have caused offence with that statement No offence taken - I know they are not everyone's cup of tea. My music tastes are catholic in that anything well played or sung (particularly live) gets my vote. I used to be quite active on the folk scene, playing the guitar, singing and telling jokes. Alas a 40 year pipe smoking habit has shot my vocal chords and I cannot keep my fingernails at the right length with all of the gardening damage. Still I occasionally enjoy a strum! PS I used to dance the Morris too!

Good morning everyone.
RTS, The luck of the morris to you, was member of Sheffield Uni Morris team back in the 80's. Like yourself my music taste is quite broad including classical (cellist & chorister at school), then went to too many gigs at the Marquee during the seventies. I have planned for when the 'Big Man' calls that they play Fairport Convention's Come All Ye (from the Liege & Leif album). |
