As described above, we are already seeing good scores for the data we’ve analyzed so far and have decided to close out phase 1 of this project. We may begin a second phase of work on World Community Grid, sometime next year.


So seems DSFL is officially over.

I think my own personal target is to try and hit 50 years before the end of October.......might just make it, or might just miss it. A lot depends on two remote machines down in dorset. Sometimes they run 24/7, sometimes not on for days........ cool

For some reason, seeing Dorset mentioned makes me excited =) just because thats where I'm from haha
Also, remote machines? do you rent them or are they like a friends/relatives or whatever? I've been thinking about renting something to run BOINC projects on, as I believe in the cause (and am a complete statistic nerd and this gives me another project to be nerdy about with my Excel documents as I have everything all logged haha) but my housemates don't like my PC being on too much whilst I'm not at home =( I've stopped GPU crunching to minimise the noise in the hopes that they'll stop noticing its on if its superquiet, but it doesn't seem to work haha almost wish I was contributing to the electric so that I wouldn't feel bad leaving it on 24/7 =( so if you do rent one, or if you know of anywhere thats not too expensive to rent a server from let me know =D cheers
