Just bringing you up to date, CPU fan definitely burned, 4 core cpu may be OK, scrabbling around to find a small fan pro tem. A bit more than I wanted to spend but seems pragmatic way as to order 8 core CPU plus a liquid cooling system. Of course they did not have an 8 core at the store so now in the hands of Post Office / Couriers, then help from someone with more nimble fingers than my fists of lard. Have blagged a neighbours laptop to post this.
